Re/to art – From paper clothes to edible jewelleries

In the exhibition presenting the works by students from the Jelky András High School of Fine Arts, we could exhibit the best drawings and professional pieces, and we could get a glimpse of the best ideas and works in recycled design and the creation of recycled art objects.

Unique pattern-pressing for t-shirts or bags

Recommended for ages: 6-14 years old

Time it takes: 1.5 hours

This activity focuses on methods of recycling, environmental consciousness and conscious consumer action. The students decorated their old shirts or bags with pressure techniques, using scripts, patterns and symbols specific to each of them. The technique is good to help a group bond, therefore it is ideal for team-building games and getting to know each other as well as ourselves.

Waste or jewellery? – Paper pearls

Recommended for ages: 11-18 years old

Time it takes: 1.5 hours

Piles of newspaper stack up every day, but what can we do with them. We could make fashionable jewellery: earrings, necklaces and bracelets for both the younger and the older children. In this activity, we focus on the methods of recycling, environmental consciousness and conscious consumer action. We can teach how to create an object, design techniques, effective material use and time management.

Developing competencies: environmental awareness, intelligence, creative thinking and recycling.

Trough the sessions we make photograph, with applying to the session the participant agree to be recorded or photographed. The pictures will be used in the galleries’ communication materials and press attendance.
